Anyone who has been following any of my presentations or postings has probably heard of X-Pubs (www.x-pubs.com). I’ve been chairing the conference since 2006 and have presented each year and Mekon, has put forward the primary organisational team.

I was never a huge fan of the name X-Pubs, but it did the trick and many know it well. I am happy – for various reasons – say that it is changing! X-Pubs is now called Congility.
The excitement of the name change is that it reflects the broad focus that X-Pubs has always had. Publication is an umbrella term that covers a lot of the end-games when it comes to content strategy and the various related standards – at the end of the day, you’re publishing something to someone – but content agility is really what it is all about. Regardless of what the destination of the content, organisations today want their content flexible, portable, accessible, and dynamic – they want agile content.
Congility is calling all thought-leaders and practitioners in the area of content – specifically agile content – for the 2011 conference Call for Speakers. The 2011 event will be in the UK in spring 2011. Precise details to be announced, but we’re taking early presentation submissions now.
